This free printable buffalo plaid Christmas banner is a fast and budget-friendly way to decorate your home for the upcoming holidays. It’s a quick and easy Christmas DIY project.

The banner includes 14 letter flags to spell “Merry Christmas” and one patterned flag to use as a divider. Each flag measures approximately 4” wide x 6″ tall.

Supplies

To make this DIY banner you will need the following supplies:

Buffalo plaid Christmas banner (link below)
Home printer (or you can go to your local print shop)
White cardstock (or ordinary paper)
Scissors
Hole punch
Twine, ribbon, or string

Instructions

Step 1: Download and print.

Click on the link at the end of the post to download the banner.

Print onto 8.5 x 11″ sized white cardstock. Cardstock is sturdier than ordinary paper, but if you don’t have it at hand typical printer paper will do.

Print the divider to separate the words if you wish to hang the message in one row. You could also print 4 of those to hang them on each side of each word.

Step 2: Cut.

Using scissors or a paper cutter cut out each flag along the edges.

Step 3: Punch holes and string.

Using a hole punch, punch a hole in the top corners of each banner.

Arrange the letters in the correct order and thread a ribbon or twine through them. You can use tape or a little bit of hot glue to secure the letters in place, so they don’t slide around the string.

Hang up your Christmas banner wherever you please and enjoy!

Download the PDF file and print it at home or at your local print shop. Print as many copies as you need.

Print on standard 8.5″×11″ paper (US Letter). To print on A4 paper select “Fit to page” in your printer settings.

To make the banner more durable print on heavier-weight paper or cardstock.
